Brutalization

This is the outcome for those who persevere in sin. Brutalizing is to make someone think, feel, act and behave according to the murderous mind of the Beast, the Devil. It is the opposite of sanctification that divinize us and makes us think, feel, act and behave in accordance with the saving mind of Jesus. Just as the Holy Spirit, the Craftsman of the works of God, shapes us to the image and likeness of Jesus, the Beast, that is, the Devil, engages in shaping the unrepentant sinners in His image and likeness. He does this by envy, “the sin par excellence”, according to St. Augustine. "For God formed us to be imperishable; the image of his own nature he made us. But by the envy of the devil, death entered the world, and they who are allied with him experience it” (Wisdom  2: 23-24).

Let's start with the behavior of the faithful ones within the churches. In the parish church where I participate at the Holy Eucharist daily, in Balneário Camboriú, SC, Brazil, most women enter the house of God barely covering their bodies. Rather than take the sandal of the feet, as if taking part in a satanic cult, they show the naked body with the clear intention to seduce the pure souls. Like a prostitute who chooses the best places to attract the eyes of the unwary, the Devil counsel them to sit in the first pews where everyone can see their sinful nudity. Maybe it is necessary someone to offer them an apple to make themselves to find out that they are naked in the holy temple of God, where "nothing unclean will enter it, nor any[one] who does abominable things or tells lies. Only those will enter whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life" (Rev. 21:27).

Woe to the priest if the mass takes long! They go crazy! The Devil is waiting outside the church to take them to the cinema, where they will watch the demonic “Fifty Shades of Grey”. Woe to the priest if he opens his mouth to condemn the improper raiment who profane the sacred place where God dwells. Within minutes a police paddy wagon park to the church door to take him to the police station, accused of practicing bullying. In the company they work for, obviously, they cannot dress like prostitutes, because they can be fired. Better losing Heaven, than employment, they think. Not to mention those who make a bet to see who will "take the vocation of the priest." Incredibly, many get thru - Including getting a place forever in the abyssal dungeons of hell to mourn for all eternity the consequences of their folly.

Mankind has already started the colonization of Mars and most women still did not realize that long dresses and skirts make them more attractive in the eyes of a man looking for a wife. By the way, every time a man looks at a half-naked woman, he is likely to see her only as a sexual partner, not as a possible future wife. In this case, if he is not a son of Adam born again of water and the Spirit, that comes close to evangelize her, he pretends to give her love to get sex. After satisfied, he seeks another partner. The marks of sin, however, though forgiven, often remain forever in the lives of both (abortion, frustration, bitterness, distrust, "men are all equal", loss of romanticism, purity, etc.).

Let's Analyze men. Arrogant, perky and riddled with pride, they appear before the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord Jesus Christ as if before a subordinate. Wearing shorts, sunglasses, caps, and inappropriate clothes to a sacred environment, they do not kneel at the time of Epiclesis, when the priest invokes the Holy Spirit upon the species of bread and wine, asking God that transforms them in the Body and Blood of the Lord. They hope that Jesus kneel before them. They do not realize that they are in front of the "Judge of the living and the dead" (Acts 10: 42), the One who will judge every man according to their works. In front a corrupt politician, whom they need a favor from, then yes, it is important to dress decently and kiss his feet!

"Because I know that you are stubborn and that your neck is an iron sinew and your forehead bronze" (Is 48: 4), it would be beneficial if each of these stiff-necked men seek an orthopedic doctor to deploy a hinge at the top the cervical spine. Maybe they would bend before Jesus, before whom "every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and in hell" (Phil 2: 10). Woe to the priest or a missionary - "these money-lovers”, they use to say - that rise to the pulpit to ask for financial support for a work or mission in favor of the kingdom of God! All their money is already committed to lovers, orgies, expensive wines, trips to Europe, shopping in Miami, big cars, farms, new apartment, drinks and pay channels for adults only.

A worm, after eating, dies. For not end up in hell, "Where their worm die not, and the fire is not quenched" (Mark 9, 48), there is only one way out: "I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect” (Rom 12: 1s). There is still time. Confession, Eucharist, prayer, fasting, God's Word, retreats, prayer group, documents of the Church, spiritual direction, holy books, Catechism of the Church, Christian music, catholic websites and movies, are the main means that God gives us for our sanctification.

God's greater promise for a believer is the deification of our mortal body and life everlasting. "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God" (2 Cor 7: 1).

Prayer

"Jesus, You are the Son of the Living God and the Name above every name. To the invocation of your holy and terrible Name, Jesus, today and always, every knee should bow in heaven and on earth and in hell; and every tongue confess to the glory of God the Father that you, Jesus Christ, is Lord. You bought me for a high price, freeing me forever from the tyranny of the devil. With your blood shed on the cross, you destroyed the empire of Satan and abolished forever the document that condemned me to eternal death. Through your Incarnation, life, preaching, passion, death and resurrection you were constituted sovereign Lord of all things visible and invisible: "Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ" (Acts 2, 36). Your Word says: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10: 9). Right now, Jesus, in obedience to your Word, I believe in my heart that you resurrected from the dead and confess publicly with my mouth that you are the sole and final Lord of my life. I unreservedly renounce Satan and all his lies. I Submit myself entirely and unreservedly to your domain, giving you all the areas of my life that I had given into the hand of the devil. Pour over me your Holy Spirit, Lord Jesus, so that, from now on, I live in complete obedience to your voice, serving you and loving you every day of my life within the Catholic Church. I ask you this, Lord Jesus, through the intercession of Our Lady of Guadalupe, St. Joseph and all the angels and saints. Amen”.

Bestialização

É este o resultado de quem persevera no pecado. Bestializar é fazer alguém pensar, sentir, agir e comportar-se segundo a mente assassina da Besta, o Diabo. É o contrário da santificação que nos diviniza e nos faz pensar, sentir, agir e comportarmo-nos de acordo com a mente salvífica de Jesus. Assim como o Espírito Santo, o Artífice das obras de Deus, nos molda à imagem e semelhança de Jesus,  a Besta, isto é, o Diabo, ocupa-se em modelar os pecadores impenitentes à sua imagem e semelhança. Faz isso por inveja, o pecado por excelência, segundo Santo Agostinho. “Ora, Deus criou o homem para a imortalidade, e o fez à imagem de sua própria natureza.  É por inveja do demônio que a morte entrou no mundo, e os que pertencem ao demônio prová-la-ão” (Sb 2, 23s).

Vamos começar com o comportamento do fieis dentro das igrejas. Na igreja matriz onde diariamente participo da santa Eucaristia, em Balneário Camboriú, SC, a maioria das mulheres entra na Casa de Deus vestindo trajes sumários. Ao invés de tirar as sandália dos pés, como se estivessem num culto satânico, exibem o corpo nu com a clara intenção de seduzir as almas puras. À semelhança de uma prostituta que escolhe os melhores lugares para atrair os olhares  dos incautos, o Diabo as aconselha a se sentarem nos primeiros bancos, onde todos possam ver sua nudez pecaminosa. Talvez é necessário oferecer-lhes uma maçã para darem-se conta de que estão nuas dentro do templo santo do Deus, onde “não entrará nada de profano nem ninguém que pratique abominações e mentiras, mas unicamente aqueles cujos nomes estão inscritos no livro da vida do Cordeiro” (Ap 21, 27).

Ai do padre se a missa demorar muito! Viram bicho! O Diabo as espera fora da igreja para levá-las ao cinema, onde assistirão o demoníaco 50 tons de Cinza. Pobre do sacerdote se abrir a boca para condenar as vestes impróprias que profanam o lugar sagrado onde habita Deus. Em poucos minutos um camburão da polícia estaciona à porta de igreja para levá-lo à delegacia, acusado de praticar bullying. Na empresa onde trabalham, obviamente, não podem vestirem-se como prostitutas, porque podem ser demitidas. Antes perder o Céu, do que o emprego, raciocinam. Sem falar daquelas que fazem uma aposta para ver quem vai “tirar a vocação do padre”. Inacreditavelmente, muitas conseguem. Inclusive um lugar para sempre nas abissais masmorras do inferno, onde lamentarão por toda a eternidade as consequências de sua insensatez.

O homem já iniciou a colonização de Marte e a maioria das mulheres ainda não se deu conta de que vestidos e saias longas as tornam muito mais atraentes aos olhos de um homem à procura de uma esposa. A propósito, todas as vezes que olha para uma mulher semi-nua, um homem é propenso a vê-la apenas como uma parceira sexual, não como uma possível futura esposa. Neste caso, se não for um filho de Adão nascido da Água e do Espírito que se aproxima para evangelizá-la, fingirá amor para obter sexo. Depois de satisfeito, procurará outra parceira. As marcas do pecado, contudo, embora perdoado, muitas vezes permanecem para sempre nas vidas de ambos (aborto, frustração, amargura, desconfiança, “todos os homens são iguais”, perda do romantismo, da pureza, etc).

Analisemos os homens. Emproados, empertigados e eivados de orgulho, apresentam-se diante do Corpo, Sangue, Alma e Divindade de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo como se estivessem diante de um subordinado. Trajando bermudas, óculos escuros, bonés, camiseta regata e vestes impróprias para um ambiente sagrado, não se ajoelham no momento da Epíclese, quando o sacerdote invoca o Espírito Santo sobre as espécies de pão e vinho, pedindo a Deus que as transforme no Corpo e Sangue do Senhor. Esperam que o próprio Jesus se ajoelhe diante deles. Não percebem que encontram-se diante do “Juiz dos vivos e dos mortos” (At 10, 42), Aquele que julgará a cada um segundo as suas obras. Diante de um político corrupto, de quem necessitam uma favor, aí sim, é importante vestir-se dignamente e beijar-lhe os pés!

“Sabendo bem que és rígido, que tua cerviz tem músculos de ferro, e que tua fronte é de bronze” (Is 48, 4), seria salutar se cada um destes homens de dura cerviz procurasse um médico ortopedista para implantar uma dobradiça no alto da coluna cervical. Talvez assim se dobraria diante de Jesus, diante de quem “se dobre todo joelho no céu, na terra e nos infernos” (Fl 2, 10). Ai do padre ou do missionário - “esses dinheiristas” - que ocupam o púlpito para pedir suporte financeiro para uma obra ou missão em favor do reino de Deus! Todo o dinheiro já está comprometido com amantes, orgias, vinhos caros, viagens para a Europa, compras em Miami, carrões, chácaras, apartamento novo, bebidas e no pagamento de canais só para adultos.

Um verme, depois de alimentar-se, morre. Para que não acabemos no fogo do inferno, “onde o seu verme não morre e o fogo não se apaga” (Mc 9, 48), há uma única saída: “Eu vos exorto, pois, irmãos, pelas misericórdias de Deus, a oferecerdes vossos corpos em sacrifício vivo, santo, agradável a Deus: é este o vosso culto espiritual. Não vos conformeis com este mundo, mas transformai-vos pela renovação do vosso espírito, para que possais discernir qual é a vontade de Deus, o que é bom, o que lhe agrada e o que é perfeito” (Rm 12, 1s). Ainda há tempo. Confissão, Eucaristia, oração, jejum, Palavra de Deus, retiros, grupo de oração, direção espiritual, livros santos, CDs cristãos, sites e  filmes católicos são os principais meios que Deus nos dá para a nossa santificação.

A maior promessa de Deus para um crente é a divinização do nosso corpo mortal na vida eterna. “Depositários de tais promessas, caríssimos, purifiquemo-nos de toda imundície da carne e do espírito, realizando plenamente nossa santificação no temor de Deus” (2Cor 7, 1).

Oração: “Jesus, Vós sois o Filho do Deus Vivo e o Nome acima de todo nome. À invocação do teu santíssimo e terrível Nome, Jesus, hoje e sempre, se dobre todo joelho no céu, na terra e nos infernos; e toda língua confesse para a glória de Deus Pai que tu, Jesus Cristo, é o Senhor. Tu me compraste por um alto preço, libertando-me para sempre da tirania do demônio. Com teu sangue derramado na cruz destruíste o império de Satanás e aboliste para sempre o documento que me condenava à morte eterna. Através de tua Encarnação, vida, pregação, paixão, morte e ressurreição foste constituído soberano Senhor de todas as coisas visíveis e invisíveis: "Que toda a casa de Israel saiba, portanto, com a maior certeza de que este Jesus, que vós crucificastes, Deus o constituiu Senhor e Cristo" (Atos 2, 36). Tua Palavra afirma: "Portanto, se com tua boca confessares que Jesus é o Senhor, e se em teu coração creres que Deus o ressuscitou dentre os mortos, serás salvo" (Rm 10, 9). Neste momento, Jesus, em obediência à tua Palavra, eu creio em meu coração que ressuscitaste dentre os mortos e confesso publicamente com a minha boca que tu és o único e definitivo Senhor da minha vida. Eu renuncio irrestritamente a Satanás e todas as suas mentiras. Submeto-me inteiramente e sem reservas ao teu domínio, entregando-te todas as áreas da minha vida que eu havia entregue nas mãos do Diabo. Derrama sobre mim o teu Espírito Santo, Senhor Jesus, a fim de que, a partir de agora, eu viva em total obediência à tua voz, servindo-te e amando-te todos os dias da minha vida dentro da Igreja Católica. Peço-vos tudo isto, Senhor Jesus, pela intercessão de Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe, São José e de todos os anjos e santos. Amém”.
